Somatic experiencing (SE) focuses on the mind-body connection during treatment to address the physical and psychological symptoms of mental health such as anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. SE is grounded in the theory that traumatic experiences contribute to nervous system dysfunction. The result is repetitive concerns and behaviours that have been a challenge to overcome.
