About

Many years ago, I found myself volunteering at the Vancouver Suicide Risk and Prevention Center as a Crisis Counsellor. Here, I listened to people in the deepest levels of pain. I heard their stories and I felt their hearts. I had many people ask if I was a counsellor and how they could find me to access services outside of my work as a volunteer.

At that point, I had never heard of a counsellor. I just loved helping people and somehow, the “Vancouver Crisis Line”, as it is nicknamed, jumped out at me from the Yellow Pages (that long ago!!). I spent the next 5 years listening to and helping the heart and soul of many suffering individuals. Years later, I am continually energized by my dedication to helping others.

Boomerang was created to provide a place for people to feel cared for through connection, consideration, and understanding. Just like our body craves water, our brain needs the right environment to heal and to grow. We need to be seen for who we are and supported through that process.

That’s what Boomerang is all about. We have a team of exceptional therapists providing a level of professionalism and care that is informed by personal experience, suffering, and dedicated growth that goes above and beyond. Each of our clinicians at Boomerang has experienced pain, anguish, sorrow, and have risen from the ashes. Their experiences inform their dedication, passion, and professionalism for the work of helping others.

We look forward to working with you.
