More Than Just My Work

A lover of books, cooking, and all things nerdy. I am constantly on the lookout for the next story that can sweep me away, whether it be in the pages of a novel or in the various TTRPGs (especially D&D) that I play with my friends and family. Currently trying to perfect my pizza recipe.

Tate Evans, BA

It’s the struggles that we go through that make us the person we become. Life can be really tough. A lot of what is demanded of us these days we are unprepared for. Counselling can be an avenue of support when tackling life’s issues and figuring out how to navigate this often unfriendly and stressful world. When working with me, you or your child will experience a supportive and caring environment to unpack, discuss, or work through the challenges that you are facing.

I decided to go into counselling because I was fascinated by people. The most wonderful things in life happen due to our individuality and unique experiences with the world around us. The world we live in is interesting and worthwhile
because it is a reflection of our uniqueness. I value providing a supportive environment to engage in discussions and practices that strengthen and build others.

I have a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University in Psychology/Counselling and Human Development and I am a practicum student in the Master of Arts in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Yorkville University. You may have seen me at one of the North Vancouver District Public Library branches, where I have worked for over 9 years. I am also a Silver Medalist from the Canadian Improv Games and enjoy quality storytelling.

“Life is too precious to be left to chance.”

My sister is one of my best friends. I have learned patience, love, empathy, and compassion through all our challenges and trials together. I am a child of divorce and well-versed in trauma and neurodivergence.
