I grew up in an Ecuadorian-Canadian family and love cooking Ecuadorian food for my family. I have spent much of my life travelling and experiencing culture, and love the richness diversity brings to my life. I’m a ridiculously proud mom of two amazing neurodiverse young adults who have taught me a lot about life. Whether walking the North Shore trails with friends and dogs, exercising, reading or trying out a new recipe, you’ll find me laughing and joking while I do it. I can’t wait to meet you and learn your story!
Cristina is committed to helping children, youth, and adults work through life stressors such as relationships, divorce, big life decisions and addiction, to name a few. She is passionate about helping youth and families navigate the school years when bumps arise. She loves helping parents and youth sort out new diagnoses and manage changes. She believes that neurodiversity and diversity are part of what makes life and people so beautiful, and she helps families learn to celebrate all their unique qualities. Cristina is available for parent coaching, IEP development, school and home collaboration, group therapy, and individual and family counselling.
Cristina holds a Master of Education in Counselling, a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in special education and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English. With over 20 years working in high school education, she is well-versed in working with teenagers and parents alike. Cristina uses a person-centred approach and often works through the lens of psychoeducation while using somatic practices to help achieve balance between body and mind.
The universe is not outside of you. Look inside yourself, everything that you want, you already are.

In a session with me, you will find yourself in a safe place where laughter and humility work alongside deep connection. I work to know the person behind the words and allow that authentic self to shine through my client and myself, allowing for honest, gentle growth and healing. Together we can discover what you need, develop goals and build strategies to meet these goals.
